"Again, citing "sources," the TV report said that the kitchen has "pricey cooking appliances, a big freezer, a costly meat slicer and supplies like metal warming trays caterers use."
On camera, Arakawa said he could not allow the TV crew to see the kitchen equipment because he didn't want to "jeopardize our process in making sure that that evidence is at the level it should be to clear whatever standard we need to clear."
"It's sealed. From my understanding, it's locked and as long as the investigation is ongoing, it will stay locked," Arakawa said."
Just a few months ago I had to plan and order new kitchen equipment for people working at our place so they could eat and get drinks during their shifts. A cheap microwave, kettle and coffee maker. It came to less than $200 but still had to justify it.
For some reason, the need for a large freezer and meat slicer never occurred to me. Then again, I have never had to buy a surf board for work purposes, nor a bicycle or hostess bar services.
