And we all know what a resounding success that was. Akaka blew his chance and couldn't get it through even with Democratic majorities in both houses of congress and a sitting Dem president. What do you think the chances are now? Obama might try to get the Interior Dept. to create a fake Indian tribe, but that would be held up by multiple multi-year court challenges, and a significant group of Hawaiians don't want it anyway.
