"Where are these people now?" says Mermaid.Fair question but I can only speculate. They were treated horribly for trying to warn everyone and bring what had happened in just a couple months to everyone's attention. They saw the gross violations of the new board and the precariousness that our community was forced into immediately. It obviously was a difficult thing for them to do with the board fighting them and trying to deny our rights to the membership meeting. The board and their backers were on a destructive path from before day 1. Remember the vote? Over 200 people voted no confidence and asked them to resign. Have they done what the membership voted and requested? I can tell you that no attorney would want a case like this and if one could be scrounged up the retainer would be monstrous. The board controls the money. The people who had the courage to stand up to them were treated so disrespectfully. What's wrong is right in this crazy world. We are stuck and with them vetting committee members and potential board members so they will all be on the same agenda. to many weeds to individually pick them off 1 at a time. The whole board needs to implode to get some right minded, sane, rational, logical people in there. No normal person wants to be associated with them. It is going to be a very long haul. 1 lovely couple sold and moved out fearing a special assessment and increasing fees. (Remember BJ telling everyone that we may get a reduction?) So the good stay away or move away and we are left with wicked people who have no problem ruining a persons livelihood and destroying the community.
Your comments about there being a green waste facility in the park is inaccurate.
"Things changed when it hit me personally with the hijacking of the HRC" says Mermaid.... this is one of the major problems. People don't care until it affects them personally. We are a community and are always suppose to be working on it to be a great place to live, not just when it's about us individually.
A year later and this board is still blaming the previous board and the fired employees, give me a break!
