Aloha and mahalo for sharing the wisdom of your kupuna, Opihikao. We always pick up hitch hikers, whether old or young, men or women. This gin is world class, and straight up with a splash of water really does it justice. These days it's hard to drive to see Pele at work (other than to visit Halemaumau), but when nobody is looking, there is the trail I know that gives a good vantage to see her current toils at Pu'u'o'o. You'd need a big thermos and pack for the hot cocoa and craka, though =) Much easier right now to hire a helicopter, but ask them to politely fly high over the subdivisions, I know it's a problem for many here.
