I've seen this as well, it's relatively new. It occurs when you actually try to send the email. I'm fairly certain Rob has brought this up in the last few months and it's due to out-of-date forum software, but it would require a lot of effort and money to fix and many like things the way they are. Rob can correct me on the latter if I have that incorrect. Not sure what the best solution is.
