Royal Hawaiian Estates or Glenwood Gardens?
#11
I wouldn't buy anything sight unseen in Nanawale Estates. Even though the developer paid the SSPP for every lot, there are still many areas without electricity, there are many unpaved roads, there are many unpaved AND bad roads, only a small area of the subdivision is on county water, and you could end up with a lot next to a coffee shack. I truly believe the subdivision is one of the last uncovered gems (good deals) in Hawaii. (We own three lots there.) Make sure you work with a real estate agent who knows the area. (John Dirgo, also a member of this forum, actually lives there, so you might want to contact him. No, he is not paying me for recommendations.) SmileSmileSmile Most of the Kona realtors don't even know where Nanawale Estates is, not to mention helping you buying there!)
