Umm, this is a vaccine, not medicine you have take forever. While it does require 3 shots spread out over a year, it confers immunity to all four strains of dengue in about 2/3rds of patients.
Given that it took over 20 years of research to develop, it is extremely fortunate timing that it becoming available now to address the worldwide rise of dengue.
Hopefully, dengue will not become endemic here like it has on so many tropical islands, and we all see dengue go the way of polio in our lifetime (but that was probably just another money grubbing scheme too?
