And those three infectious cases are currently in what area of the big island? It seems that the majority of dengue cases have been residents and not the visiting tourists. Maybe some need to know what areas specifically to avoid or take extra precautions?
I was just talking story in hilo a couple nights ago with two different people that both live and work very close to a current dengue case(yards not miles). Neither had a clue that they lived so close to somebody currently sick with the dengue. They also were not protecting themselves (sprays,clothing,or traps) from getting the dengue virus in anyway(very disturbing to say the least). With that kind of general knowledge,education, or care regarding the current dengue outbreak, it may be very hard to stop the spread of dengue here?jmo.
