Obie: I am not in cahoots with you VP but she is correct in her interpretation of your bylaws.
Your definition of a committee comes from A dictionary.That definition does't apply here.
A committee defined by your bylaws is advisory.They have absolutely no power, so it astounds me that you keep whining about not having committees meeting as often as they should and bitching about the board dismissing committees.
After reading all of this crap here for the last year or so , I can only come to the conclusion that the posters her are the real problem.
The only reason for committees is to assist the board.
You elected a new board and you still have the same bitches.
I only see one constant problem and that is all of you who either can't read or have very low comprehension skills !
Obie, your summation of our woes further proves you don't know what you're talking about, you don't know our bylaws AND now you want to challenge the dictionary! A committee is a committee! Our woes has nothing to do w/committees themselves, and you need to pay attention better if you want to play in our sandbox.
The way you post points to a personal agenda. You don't live in HPP so either you're doing damage control for the VP, or you're just a troll who likes to stir the pot for your own pleasure. Doesn't say much of your character if it's the latter.
It's too much of a coincidence that you would state, like I said almost word for word, the VP's recent mantras at meetings. The only committee you could possibly be talking about is the FC. That situation has nothing to do w/advisory issues and had you been paying attention and attending meetings, you'd know that.
