Mahalo Opihikao for bringing this child hunger problem up and making a thread to discuss its growing importance.
On that link that alaskyn66 provided, 68 schools were listed to receive these needed food programs with no mention of keonepoko school. Why?
Found this pretty good article that helps explain these very important keiki food programs.

How many children(estimate if there is no accurate count)are in need or would qualify for these type of summer programs in puna?
Are puna keiki getting the added activities and classes that can be offered in these programs?
And Could our state or county promote or encourage added educational and exercise participation from these keiki?
Maybe These types of food or keiki programs should be a priority or focus as to provide many needed jobs to a local community of mostly ebt and p-card abusers, jmo.
