Dakine, Thank you for starting this thread and sharing that link.
Something that struck me the most about that PRO-TMT-PR meeting aimed for collecting feedback about Mauna Kea, was The middle age gentleman in the video. He got a bit emotional over being the generation that has been skipped and is still feeling ignored and under appreciated after years of work, dedication, passion, and malama.
Somewhat seems a little late for this groups compassionate ideas, but its usually better to be late than never to show up at all.
Several other area groups ( Rob's PW forum comes to mind for one ) may have already had these types of discussions prior to this newly formed friends of the future group? Just a suggestion here, Maybe friends of the future should reach out or include some of those other groups to gather what they are considering important. Who knows, It may help lead to a better group head start while also including another form of random community members who also are Mauna Kea loving folks. Jmo.
P.S. Both Dakine and Opihikao have long had my vote to be part of this new groups panel discussions about the future of Mauna Kea.. Jmo.
