I think I have the same unit MarkP described. My biggest complaint (other than the ones I have already whined about above) is that the push bar is far too low even at its highest setting for anybody over about 5' something in height. It also has a feature where you can engage or disengage the blade- a feature I really don't care for (more crap engineering that will eventually fail) and it complicates the controls because instead of just walking behind a mower you also have to hold down the bar that keeps the blade spinning and use the other hand on the control that makes the self-propelled feature engage, and then use your third hand to manipulate the too-low push bar to move the mower around. I wound up putting a cable tie on the blade-clutch-engager-device because 90% of the time I hate it. I can slide the cable tie down to disengage the blade if I want to.
I looked at online reviews, I'm not the only one who complains about these "features" or the back-killing-way-too-low push bar.
The engine on the unit is awesome. Never fail, never problem, first pull start every time. It also uses less gas than previous mowers I've owned.
If you have a small lawn, it might be perfect for you. On a larger lawn using the controls will aggravate your arthritis if you are old enough, or it will give you carpel tunnel vision if you're not. Carpel tunnel vision is like carpel tunnel, except that in addition to the hand and wrist pain, you can't see yourself wanting to ever use this mower again.
