Sadly, the answer to that is "depends". The upper portion of Beaches would have more rain than the lower portion close to the ocean. It will still have more rain than Kapoho. There's something about Kapoho that seems to scare the rain away. Kehena, Puna Beach Palisades and Kalapana Sea View Estates also seem to be areas of lower rainfall.
