When I use punatic, it is in a playful sense, party hearty, yet having the gumption and ability to roll up the sleeves and dig in the garden, or jungle, to get a job done!
Yes Tim, I too think of it as a badge of courage, someone with a pioneer spirit willing to do the adventure of something new and who doesn't need all the glam of the Kona side, and chooses to make a go of it on the east side. We will visit the Kona side when we need 3 or 4 days of beach time, but Puna will be home, where the heart is. I think of it is a compliment to peoples spirits. Aloha, Mella
