Anyone Trust the FDA?

Oh, terracore, I respectfully disagree. There is something horrible that has been unleashed with these petrol-based plastics. They are endocrine disruptors (e.g. change your DNA and express otherwise-repressed bio-markers). The disturbing increase in Autistic Disorders has been linked to the increased use of plastics (and pesticides). My now-grown son was diagnosed with Asperger's (on the Autism Spectrum). When he was born in 1989, we knew very little about the disorder, how it manifested, or what caused it. Looking back, I realized that the convenience of using the new "microwave oven" to heat plastic baby bottles may have triggered his already-compromised genetic predisposition to Autism (he already hails from a very odd and eccentric genealogy). So, he was born with a genetic predisposition AND his reaction to endocrine disruptors (nuking his baby bottles) combined to make a perfect storm. He's an incredible person - a Master's in Bio-Chem and works in a lab at Penn State, but not the best people-person. His early development was a challenge for sure.

Since the baby bottle microwave warming, I personally eschew all microwaves. Just saying . . . We can't rule anything out at this point in time.
