Friday, Feb 17 - Puna (National) General Strike
#8
Stupid snowflakes.
...
wish I were retired and/or trustafarian so that I could spend all my time protesting.

I apologize for failure to note in the original post:

Attendance at this strike is voluntary, your presence is not mandatory. It's not even necessary to complain about others who wish to participate unless you want to... protest... their choice, in pursuit of your own life, liberty, and happiness.

If events or a rally are scheduled for Puna or Hilo on Friday, February 17th and you decide to take off work and show up, think of the satisfaction you'll have when you notice an unemployed neuvo-hippie couple in front of you, he with his white boy dreads, she pushing a $340 exercise perambulator with baby on board, knowing they didn't get a day off work like you did. Because they don't work. And tomorrow when it's Saturday and you enjoy some well deserved rest, they'll be dragging themselves off to the next rally, raising their voices against the newly relaxed banking regulations on their trust accounts at Goldman Sachs. Problems we salt of the earth working folks don't have to contend with on our weekends.
