where is the guarantee that this fix will be permanent?
Point taken. I would like to believe this new effort really goes the distance to finish a permanent fix. I would go so far as to suggest that "hire a professional management company" isn't quite permanent enough; "work with County to create an appropriate SID" seems like it would be nearly impossible for a future HPPOA to undo.
Admittedly: a SID would probably be more expensive due to public sector overhead issues, but this is also an opportunity for County to settle the "privately owned public road" problem, ideally with some public subsidy for subdivision road SIDs.
only about $1.50 per lot, it is still a formidable sum
Even at $15/lot, it's cheap insurance if it forces the other $300 to be spent fairly.
