First harvest from container potatoes
#11
We just harvested a container of red potatoes (sometimes called "new potatoes"). We grew them out about 3 months. We got over 7x potatoes out versus seed potato chunks in. They probably could have grown another month but we were eager to check the progress, and I needed potatoes for dinner. All of the reds were "new potato" size except one that was the size of a giant russet. The seed potatoes were from a bag of reds that we got at Walmart (the type you eat). Some had sat too long and got eyes, so we cut that part off and planted them.
