I like the last line. There are more reasons than theft to not allow access to your car.
Personally, I'm a locker. I also try to NEVER put something in my trunk that is valuable right before I'm leaving my car. It's like saying, "Hey thieves, this is where I put the valuables." Better to move valuables out of sight before you've reached your destination. Also, when you walk away from your car, take note of what you are walking away WITH. If it's a cooler and an umbrella, Mr. Thief knows you won't be back for a while.
