July 4th and dogs

My dog also acts thankful the next day, sistersue! And once, when thunder was in the distance, he stood under the cabinet where the medicine is, whining, as if to say, "mom, I think we need this." (I waited it out that time and and luckily the thunder passed.) Haven't tried Xanax. Didn't know they prescribed it for dogs. Will ask the vet next time we go. I'm not keen on how long it takes for the ace to take effect.
