Must opinions be substantiated? (TMT examples)
#17
Everyone should know that money buys most things including special privileges on this forum or the use of the Peoples mountain of Mauna Kea.

MarkD, I know you don't care to converse with me anymore and that's your prerogative. I have come to appreciate your thoughts and opinions on many issues here on PW, including this thread you have recently started.
I hope you don't mind my long winded link laden post, or if I ask TomK and others here a few rhetorical questions regarding the TMT project, it's use by partner countries and possible impacts it may have to Mauna Kea and the Hawaiian People.

TomK,
Is it true that the TMT would be collecting data from the JWST?

Both China and India are partners in the TMT project. Both of these countries have also shown the willingness to shoot down other countries satellites or their own with no regards to the many dangers of doing so.

https://thediplomat.com/2016/06/indias-a...e-weapons/

Could our U.S satellites become targets one day like our General once warned?
Will the U.S be helping these countries militarize space by sharing Data and use of the TMT Observatory?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...warns.html

Would or could the India and Chinese governments have the capabilities to use the TMT observatory for any future military purposes like destroying other countries satellites in order to disrupt their communication?
Could the TMT data or eye in the sky be used or operated by the Chinese military from a ship in the middle of the Pacific?

Could it be possible that Pearl Harbor had became a Japanese target because of the amount of Technology that was in Pearl Harbor at the time?
Could the Many telescopes including the TMT on Mauna Kea become a target one day to help disrupt communications or sensitive Data from being collected?
Does the TMT project have to be built in the Northern Hemisphere?
Would a better or more substantial EIS report be needed if the NSF were to invest in the TMT project in the many coming years of operations?

I find it interesting how the U.S government say's Mauna Kea's once suggested endangered Wekiu bug doesn't need protection after all.
http://www.staradvertiser.com/2011/10/28...rotection/

Would the NSF be concerned for any endangered species that may live on large proposed project sites, like the northern plateau of Mauna Kea?

Anyone remember this BLNR grant of a contested case hearing before the TMT construction was to begin?

http://www.bigislandvideonews.com/2011/0...e-granted/

Who was responsible for the TMT construction and ground breaking that happened before the peoples Contested case hearing?
Thankfully we have thousands of Protectors who want laws to be upheld and rights to be respected. jmo

Well TomK, I guess Hawaii will always have the highest energy costs in the nation and the poor people from the big Island will have to continue to subsidize the observatories on Mauna Kea, including the TMT.

http://honoluluweekly.com/feature/2011/0...-cash-cow/

TomK, would you be so kind to try and answer these simple questions regarding the telescopes electricity use?
How much electricity does the many large observatories on Mauna Kea use a week, month or year?
How much electricity will the TMT need to operate a day, week, month or Year?
Will the TMT project increase the need to produce more geothermal power from Lower Puna?
Would the TMT project be using any of Pele's gifts to the Hawaiian people on the summit of Mauna Kea?
Pele and her energy gifts should not be used on the once Kapu summit of Mauna Kea because it could be disrespectful to some. jmo

MarkD, I apologize in advance if I offended you in anyway.

P.S Rats are on both Organic and Non-organic farms. Where there is food found during the day there are usually rats found at night. jmo
