ACARI----Is this a life saver or a scam?

While waiting for hours at the airport in Honolulu for a flight back to Hilo the other day with my wife in a wheelchair we meet a very nice lady who lives in Calif. She is one of the main distributers of this product called ACAI [pronounced AH-SIGH-EE] Which is a berry from the Amazon in Brazil. This product is said to have the properties for the very best of life and cure all of your ills. This always makes me skeptical so I asking if anyone has been approached or knows about the berry.
