the Village Center idea will not work if you don't put it where the people are
It also won't work if you don't actually build them, which is what we have now.
20K people in HPP have to drive 10 miles for a gallon of milk
I thought they "chose" to "keep it country"?
the county/ states population estimate is way off
It's not about "population", it's about "keeping all development in Hilo because that's where the important landowners have all their commercial property".
I say -- again -- if it's "all about Hilo", fine, give us 6-8 lanes to get to/from Hilo; if widening the highway isn't an option, fine, let us have our "village commercial".
I wonder how many more "studies" it will take to figure this one out...
