The state does very little in the way of educating visitors about health and safety issues. (<<Understatement of the month.) I make sure I personally warn my guests about water hazards (flooding, undertow, look for lifeguard beaches, blah blah blah), parasites, insects, etc. I'd rather them be over-warned then under-warned. Seems not a week goes by, statewide, without a dead tourist.
