"The Office of Hawaiian Affair's board of trustees went behind closed doors to debate the future of its embattled CEO amid a growing federal and state investigation into the agency's spending.
While no decision was made today, several sources say that five board members want to oust CEO Kamanao Crabbe, who has held the post since 2012. The board needs six votes to remove him."
Further:
"Crabbe's supporters urged trustees to keep Crabbe, saying board infighting is distracting OHA from fulfilling its mission."
Right. Everything's OK, ignore the fact the FBI is now involved, it's just down to a bit of board infighting. Nothing to see here.
