Should UH manage Mauna Kea's summit?
Not quite sure what to make of this at the moment:

"Senate bill calling for new Mauna Kea management stalls in the House"

"A state senator is pulling out all the stops to make sure his bill stays alive at the State Capitol. The fight for new management of Mauna Kea stalled in the House.

Senator Kai Kahele, originally from Hawaii Island, wrote the bill that passed through the Senate this session, but when it moved over to the House the Finance Committee refused to hear it.

"It seems like there's very little support by anyone for this." Representative and Finance Committee Chairwoman Sylvia Luke.

Kahele also wrote an article on the subject in the Honolulu Civil Beat a couple of days ago. In it, he seems to say a lot without actually saying anything. You can read it here.
