Home Defense Shooting? Or Mistaken Victim?

HotPE and PaulW, I don't disagree with you that statistically a home invasion is unlikely for most. But those statistics are cold comfort for those whose families *are* threatened. You have at least two cases in this thread where people were nearly assaulted and feared for their lives in rural Puna. What is your answer for them, when confronted with an armed assailant, and the cops are half an hour away?

I also recently met a Puna resident that was raped in her home in Eden Rock, and another that was assaulted by rippers on a nearby property in HA. These things do happen here, and people should be able to protect themselves!
