Home Defense Shooting? Or Mistaken Victim?

I am torn. Proper use of a weapon is really no different than proper use of any other tool like a car. That being said cars are used improperly (sometimes as a weapon) with shocking regularity. We tolerate it because of how close to home it hits. We don't like to contemplate losing the right to drive ourselves and we are desensitized to how much mayhem occurs on the roads. In contrast aircraft are vilified to a ridiculous degree because so few people fly.

Yes guns should be denied to a good many people but realistically that's not going to happen while we still let crazy people drive drunk.
