"People in tents in the rain is NOT ok..."
Not really a correct description when there is a completely inside shelter (four walls plus a roof, bathroom facilities, food, water, electricity, beds, blankets, social services, etc etc) setup for 50 people with only 1 person in it.
I understand that some people would prefer to be in a tent in the rain rather than follow shelter rules. I might be one of them myself. But to try and assert that there is insufficient temporary (shelter) housing for those affected is currently untrue.
And all of the shelters accept pets.
It seems like a waste of resources to beg people to assault social media for requests of services that already exist, and when FEMA has already been activated. They are here already.
ETA: "beds, blankets"
