Another option is to make the worker provide their GET tax number and hire them as an independent contractor. The farm reports the contractor's fees paid to the state via 1099 or whatever and it's the worker's responsibility to pay the GET on the money they were paid and also provide their own insurance. One can get a farm "General Liability" policy for about $500/year in case the worker injures themselves and it turns out (shock!) that they didn't have insurance, and sues the farm.
It's not much different than when you hire somebody to come eradicate LFA. They aren't employees, they are a business providing a service.
