We did this back in 2012-2014. It didn't cost an arm and a leg, but more than I thought initially. Both wiring and plumbing had to be completely re-done and expect that no matter if they are already done to code. It depends a lot on how close to code the initial construction was. In our case, it was pretty good, but we still needed to do things like add sheer walls to the post & pier and put railings on the lanai. SPP cost a pretty penny, but electrical and plumbing contractors were reasonable imho.
