Wil Okabe becomes Mayor until the next general election - November 2020

For almost three decades, Mr. Okabe served the State of Hawai'i through the Department of Education in various capacities. He was also the Hawaii State Teachers Association President and worked for the Department of Labor in the Job corps Program.
Good news: we're getting a well-seasoned interim mayor who really knows his way around the government. This might also be bad news.
