personally, I think it should be up to the states to uphold the the laws the 'people' want. Obviously, most people in hawaii voted for stronger gun laws, and I am one of them. We don't need more idiots like the last guy that thought he was an above the law running around killing and shooting cops. If the second amendment really matters that much to you, and you want to carry a gun around, move to another state. I have a few friends that say they wouldn't move to hawaii because of the gun laws... I guess my theory is, the less guns we have and more restrictions we have the safer it will be for all of us. Maybe we should have even higher restrictions where we limit ammo, gun sales and bringing guns in from other states. I'll vote yes to that any day of the week.
Yeah, in some cases fed laws trump state laws, but it's becoming more and more clear that state laws are winning over what the fed says and for good reasons!
