Just want to update this event:
http://the-hroost.com.s224804.gridserver...a-village/
Kanikapila is a style of Hawaiian music produced in an impromptu jam session.
Please join us at 12:45pm on August 26 for a Kanikapila to raise funds to build Hale Iki Village-a community of tiny homes for those displaced by the 2018 Puna lava flow.
Our event will start with a Hula Kahiko to bless our endeavor, performed by Halau Ulumamo o Hilo Paliku, under Kumu Hula Mamo Brown.
The Kanikapila will be led by Andy Andrews of Puna Ukulele Kanikapila Association.
Bring your ukulele, a guitar, an ipo....or your voice. OR, just come and enjoy the joyful noise!
We will provide pupu to reward all your hard work!
Admission is a minimum of $5 per person (but we will gladly take more!).
ALL funds collected go to Hale Iki Village fund.
