I'm a bit curious about your position "I'm against it because it isn't very effective, (yet)".
For example.... effective as compared to what? Doing nothing?
I personally believe the CDC, doing the best they can with the resources they are provided, has had some years of high effectiveness and other years of low effectiveness. The variability depends on the nature of the virus itself. The CDC has to crystal ball the approaching year. Challenging.
So again, how effective does it have to be if it saves illness and lives? Nothing less than 100%?
A hundred years ago flu deaths were in the tens of millions.
