Ka'u and East Hawaii both have coastlines for launches over water and away from towns and villages.
Any proposed location for anything is inevitably "next to someone's house" and/or "would cause traffic/congestion on the single 2-lane highway".
I'm wondering how much longer our economy can tolerate the "don't build it" mentality which seems to be a recurring theme here. Perhaps the people who don't want it "near their house" should pay a property tax surcharge to cover the lost revenue.
