small question about fireworks

I'll never understand the minds of people who make house-shaking explosions in neighborhoods that amounts to animal abuse. I guess they just don't care. Dogs' ears are too sensitive and it causes physical pain, not just terror. I also think they like thumbing their noses at the police because they know they can break the fireworks law and animal abuse law. It's so awful that there are so many cruel and stupid people in the world
