It is a SWAG based on my overall impression of the situation, from pre-historic times to today. Looking at research and the bias and "fudging" (hockey-stick comes to mind), as well as the flawed nature of temperature reading stations that, because of changes in their surroundings and the heat creation and retention of those area that exist now than didn't before. A station that used to be in an orchard, is now, due to development, in a major airport where, surprise, surprise, the temps are now higher than before in that localized area.
Now, riddle me this. I'll ask a pointed question or two.
Do you "believe" that there have been numerous "ice ages" where temps were much, much colder than now, as well as interglacial periods where temps are much, much warmer.
Do you believe man or nature caused them?
Do you not understand how much more extreme these temperature swings were than anything we are experiencing now, and that all by itself, the climate changes dramatically?
Isn't it possible, almost certain that the recently-recorded temp. increases could exist or be caused entirely by nature, and would happen even if mankind has gone extinct 20,000 years ago?
So, given all these MASSIVE climatic swings, how can you possibly be concerned with such a miniscule change as we are experiencing now (correcting for changes in the micro-climate due to development around the temp. reading stations, or even otherwise).
And why would you be willing to dial-back on civilization, development of natural resources and products derived therefrom in the interest of a "possible" fix to a miniscule issue most likely not even caused by the things you wish to throw away?
