"It has been nearly one year since the 2018 Lava Flow that has tragically affected our district, however, I am still committed to recovery efforts and hope you will join me on February 23rd, the 2019 Lava Update! The purpose of this meeting will be to inform the public of upcoming recovery plans and the future of Puna. In addition to updates on Kilauea Lava Recovery efforts, we will also be presenting certificates honoring Ikaika Marzo, Pu’uhonua o Puna, and other organizations who helped the Puna community in our time of need ."
