Yeah I did some checking and found you are right.For a mechanic with 30 years working midnight shift with multiple licenses.
New guys start a lot lower.
The big issue is scope.
SWA doesn't want to allow them to work the ETOPS flights. SWA plans to contract that out which takes away jobs from the Unions.The Union mechanics have been working on those planes but when they go ETOPS they will not be allowed to touch those planes.
