Rubbish, you're unable to process the issue for some reason. Hawaii is listed as second most "renter-friendly" state for good reason. There is widespread (liberal) sentiment in our state that we should go easy on tenants.

Your personal experiences do not count here.
Many people do not view these tenants as deadbeats; the typical perception is that these folks have fallen on hard times, lost a job maybe, and we shouldn't worsen their situation by evicting them promptly. Give them a few months to try to improve their situation. (As far as the landlord's monetary losses, tough luck.)
Our Legislature responds to the will of the people, broadly speaking. Our tenant protections are supported by much of the population here. By the way, those protections are what a lot of people would call socialism.
