There are a number of crowd-sourced food delivery companies (similar to how Uber or ShipT works) planning to move into our area. The one that works in Hilo is centered around Hilo restaurants and doesn't deliver past the zoo. After the restaurants in the mall open there will likely be food delivery available through one of these outfits.
ETA: We got a pizza delivered to Orchidland from New York Pizzaria ONCE, and at some point after that the person doing it quit. Their delivery zone was 7 miles. I don't remember what the delivery cost but thought it was reasonable. It was an independent contractor who did it, not somebody working for the pizza place.
