They did have a restaurant on Oahu who used to have g-string clad waiters, it was over by the airport and real "tiki" style. It closed years ago and they turned it into a used car lot. I don't know why they closed. It wasn't really a bakery so maybe their buns weren't any good?

Seems if you are going to be a restaurant, then serve really good food and forget about silly dress up games. Then you will most likely end up as a really good restaurant. A restaurant that is doing anything else other than serving good food will make me much less likely to go in the door.

I think we could use a nice texas style smoked barbeque eatery and they could have all the wait help wear cowboy hats if they wanted to play dress up. Actually, don't most of those barbeque places just have a counter where you get smoked barbeque, beans and cole slaw? Save the bother of trying to figure out what the wait help should or shouldn't wear. We've got plenty more cows around here than we've got wait help so I think a place that emphasises the food over the wait help will have a more likely success rate.
