I didn't say you were talking about all airline pilots - I was talking about the ones you claim have reported seeing flying disks to you.

Actually, the scientific method very much depends on discounting a hypothesis. That's how they are tested. The scientific method also requires the hypothesis to be explained so other people can reproduce the results. I don't even see why the scientific method was brought into this discussion - it's like asking scientists to disprove there is a god.

Quantum mechanics is well understood. It might defy common sense but the evidence is there and the physics is sound due to it having gone through the scientific method. I don't understand your point.
