bananahead - BECAUSE..... duh... duh....... last yrs lava is 700++ degrees .... today! use common sense here.... aloha
That's why the hundreds of people that walked across the lava at four-corners (myself included) were incinerated instantly and some dozens of dozers (up to zero) have been lost during the clearing of lava from Red Road and 132. Fours miles of 132 nearly complete but that last 700 ft is too hot to handle - clearly just common sense...
