In video shot at the protest camp, a law enforcement officer can be seen cutting into the structure and leaving the Hawaiian flag cut and torn.

Protestors, who put up the flag before demo crews arrived, and affixed it with nails making it difficult to remove, then cried “desecration” when the flag was cut & torn. Seems about half the flags I see on the back of pickup trucks have been pretty well desecrated & shredded flying down the highway at 60 mph.
