With over 280 eqs in the same "cluster" area over the last month the 14 seen in the last day is about average, or slightly above.

Most of the eqs in that area are at a depth of 20 miles (more or less). I understand them to be associated with the continual transport, upwelling, of magma from it's source into the volcano and have nothing to do with the shallower movement of magma within the volcano itself.
