What if there wasn't a slug and they got infected from a nearly microscopic nemotode? The myopic employees may have inadvertently saved a life because the consumers were able to get prophylactic treatment.
Just because something is "organic" doesn't mean it's better, or safer. Somebody once laughed at me for drinking from a plastic bottle and said something about BPA and how I should use glass bottles. I've been cut by broken glass, severely, it's dangerous AF. I've never once been injured by BPA and pointed that out to them. They couldn't name a single individual injured by BPA but virtually everybody they've ever met has been injured by glass. If you look for the boogeyman everywhere, that is where you'll find it.
