rainyjim - test kit ... I guess positive controls, but yeah other than that it’s just primers. Not sure how you could mess that up
Yeah I hadn't really looked at the kit till you mentioned outsourcing it. Like you said, seems pretty straight forward although apparently they are having problems with the reliability with some of the reagents.

Schatz is also calling for using kits from Japan (if they meet the CDC's standards, which I'm guessing they lack the free time to test those kits and get the FDA's emergency approval on them, so maybe just a talking point as well?)
