"This is not life as usual. Accept it. Realize it. And deal with it," Cuomo said.....-- and he announced a 90-day moratorium on all commercial and residential evictions to try and ease the immediate burden. But if all of these measures save just one life, the governor said, they are worth it.
Why isn’t this “logic” applied elsewhere?
How many lives a year end because of crashes on 130? We should ban traffic on 130 and certainly save more than one life! Sure it’ll be tough on people in Puna but if it saves one life it will be worth it!
How many lives a year end in the waves at Hapuna beach? We must close the beach forever, because if it saves one life it will be worth it.
Over 250,000 die in the US due to medical errors, so we must close down the practice of medicine nationwide. Sure it’ll be tough, but if it saves one life it will be worth it.
Cuomo says "This is not life as usual. Accept it. Realize it. And deal with it," I suspect he is referring to the lock down instead of people dying during epidemics.
